ZANDER CIRCUITRY Surplus Elemental Overdriver
Zander Circuitry's Surplus Elemental Overdriver is primarily an overdrive pedal but with the capability to achieve beautiful clean boost tones as well as some more knarly, fuzz-type sounds. It's incredibly responsive to your volume pot and playing dynamics, making this great for those who prize 'feel' above all else.
The pedal features two foot-switchable channels with independent gain controls, perfect for on-the-fly switching.
The Response control allows you to to adjust the capacitor value at input and output, offering everything from a thinner, brighter character through to a gated effect and then a grainy, spitty gain character when dialled right up.
The Surplus Elemental Overdriver features Zander Circuitry's signature 6-way diode clipping selector, which gives you the option of Germanium, Silicon, Red LEDs, MOSFET, Transistor & None - you can select the exact response to suit your sound:
Germanium: A smooth, sweet sounding form of clipping, very ‘amp-like’ in its response.
Silicon: Louder, brighter and more brittle sounding.
Red LED: Much louder, less saturated but very punchy and aggressive.
MOSFET: Similar in output to Silicon but a bit ‘sweeter’ sounding, crunchier and a little more saturated.
Transistor: Very similar to MOSFET but a bit brighter.
None: Loads of output but the lowest gain. Great for vintage-style fuzz tones.
